The need for emergency housing for victims of sexual exploitation
and abuse is urgent. The damage caused by prostitution, abuse, STDs,
and drug use is lethal to young people who have no access to proper
care.
As law enforcement continues to progress in its
careful handling of victims, it is necessary to provide emergency
housing for victims at all hours of the day and night, without fail.
Every police officer, detective, or prosecutor connected to the
rescue and care of these young victims tells Ahava Kids about their
one common problem: "There is no place for victims." Now
there is.

These young victims have been through horrible
abuse. Often, when they are rescued by police, usually very late
at night, there are absolutely no safe, reliable facilities capable
of taking them in. From the moment they are taken off the streets,
they are in need of shelter, food, security, and someone whom they
can trust.
The Ahava Kids Safe House provides safe, comfortable,
housing for these specific victims at a moment’s notice. Initially,
it will include facilities for up to twenty residents, along with
living area for staff, kitchen, bath, laundry, and storage facilities.
The building also contains high levels of security apparatus and
safety design considerations. Yet, it offers a home like environment
for residents.
This allows Ahava Kids’ personnel, Intervention
Specialists, to receive and care for victims whenever they are contacted
by law enforcement. Having taking victims in, our staff then utilizes
all the necessary resources to provide customized, long-term care.
Calling on the disciplines of and professionals
in the medical field, mental health care, psychology, counseling,
family counseling, nutrition and wellness, educational training,
job training, and parent training, Ahava Kids coordinates the necessary
care for victims.
The Ahava Kids Safe House introduces a previously
unknown solution to the urgent needs of young victims in the United
States.
We cannot allow the needs of victims to go unanswered.
These young people must be given the immediate and ongoing care
they require in order to live a safe, healthy and long life. If
their needs go unanswered, the abuse they suffer in childhood will
manifest in later years. This will only lead to further abuse, mental
and physical illness, drug use and criminal behavior.
The Ahava Kids Safe House fills an enormous and
immediate need in the care of young victims of exploitation, trafficking
and abuse. Right now, many victims have no place to go. This facility
is an urgently needed solution to a problem faced by all law enforcement
agencies in the United States. This program works directly with
law enforcement agencies and health care providers to quickly and
efficiently bring immediate care to victims.
Ahava Kids has the capability to network all stakeholders
in this effort. Together, we can help these young victims while
bringing an end to this crime. But, we can't do it alone. We
need your help right away.
