Why ‘Ahava?’
Ahava means ‘love’ in the Hebrew language.
Yes, some have tremendous difficulty with the fact that we use a
Hebrew word in our name. And some have difficulty with the fact
that many of our supporters are of the Christian faith, the Jewish
faith, or of no faith. Some people even have difficulty with the
fact that we serve victims and survivors of all ages: minors, young
adults and older adults.
We do all this because Ahava Kids believes that
no one deserves to be a slave. We hold firm to the fact that all
people have the right to freedom and liberty, no matter their age,
ethnicity, culture or belief.
Fortunately, the vast majority of the people supporting
us, those who continue to stand with us in this battle, understand
and agree with this bold vision for justice.
